Green Eggs And Steak

For someone who is so creative when it comes to her business, clothing, accessories and home goods, I am laughably uncreative when it comes to entertaining my child. And teaching her. I mean, I surf the net and find things to try, but generally she isn't particularly interested in "schooling". She just wants to watch "Ultimate Avengers" and call Aquaman on her pretend cell phone to tell him how she went potty all the time.

A couple of days ago I decided to do a lesson on the color green.

So, we dyed our breakfast green. Well, part of it anyway. There is something incredibly unappealing about steak with a greenish hue...

Vibrant green eggs, pale mint colored biscuits and delicious colored steak

When we sat down to eat, I asked the child, "What color are the eggs?"

"Gween!"

"What color is the biscuit?"

"Gween!"

What color is the meat?

"Yucky!"

And then the lesson was over.

And we ate our breakfast.
