Snapshots

My blog posts are so out of sequence this week. I am going against the chronological order grain...Chicago post is next!

Jody and Jason came by last night and we had a small feast to celebrate our visit. Spaghetti with chunky homemade sauce, maple glazed baby carrots, mashed potatoes full of butter, chives and sour cream, cheesy garlic bread, four types of wine and a peanut butter and chocolate cake.

Here's a few snaps of the cake...after we had already cut it...oops.

This cake is so rich and decadent that I only make it once or twice a year. It's easy peasy to make though.

You just take your favorite chocolate cake(I make mine from scratch), a chocolate icing(I used canned this time), the peanut butter icing(recipe follows), sprinkles and Reece's peanut butter cups and you get a desert that's pretty much home style restaurant quality. And, super yummy.

Peanut butter Frosting

2 8oz bricks cream cheese(softened)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup peanut butter

Mix. Slather on cake. Eat and enjoy. That's it!

Oh, aside from maybe "die of food coma". That's an optional last step. Optional, but not preferable. Consume with care...
